Now’s the time to line up everything you need to flip the switch when spring’s busy season starts. Don’t be caught unprepared – make sure you are ready to go when your customers are. Here’s a quick checklist of things to consider while we’re still in the off-season:
- Give your website a refresh. Even if not much has changed for your business since last year, it’s still important to give your website a quick update. Make sure it’s search engine optimized and easy to navigate. Add content that’s all about spring and how you can help your customers make their lawn beautiful for the summer – the very things your customers will be searching the web for this time of year.
- Step up your social game. Customers will also check out your social media profiles to find out more about your company. Be ready to meet them!
- Start marketing…yesterday. It’s never too soon to start promoting your spring services. Let customers and potentials know if you are changing or expanding your services, offering special rates or moving into a new neighborhood. There are many different ways to get the word out. Order your custom printed materials and make sure you have everything ready to go. Have you checked your supply of lawn posting signs? What about business forms – envelopes, invoices, etc. In need of more doorhangers or leave-behind pieces? Don’t hesitate to order them as soon as possible to beat the rush and make sure you have everything ready when you need it.
- Make sure your team is ready to roll and represent your brand out in the field with freshened, seasonally appropriate apparel. They’re your brand ambassadors out in the community – make sure they’re looking their best!
