Peter has been with Real Green for over a dozen years and has been in the Lawn Care Industry for over twenty years. That is a tough fact for people to believe, since he looks to be only about 25 years old.
He has seen it all, starting with route cards and a manual ledger system and moving along with all of the rapidly-advancing technology. Peter is a graduate of Michigan State University and is still rabid about MSU sports (which puts him at odds with the Michigan weasel fans in the office).
Peter is once again happily single, which allows him to work at Real Green 24/7/365.
Peter has a great interest in singing and acting. Although Real Green’s travel schedule prevents participation in much theater, he occasionally appears in locally-produced TV commercials and movies: Peter’s Movie. Warning: this movie (soon to be released on DVD) is no “Citizen Kane”, despite Peter’s resemblance to Orson Welles.
John has been with Real Green for several years after careers as a rodeo clown and one of the first American Idols. He is Real Green’s “Mapping Guru”, helping companies across North America plot their daily routes. John is a graduate of Central Michigan University, which is in Mt. Pleasant. Mt. Pleasant is a misnomer, being neither mountainous nor pleasant.
At last count, John has a wife (Candy), two daughters (Isabel and Jillian), a son (Christian), a dog (Annie) and 4 pythons (Monty, Belt, Slithery and George), as well as a Nemo aquarium.
In his spare time John loves to play with the Mapping Assistant 3. It seems he just can’t get enough.
Bill is our resident “old dude”. He is a military retiree having had over 21 years active duty in the US Army. After he retired from the Army, he started playing around with computers by taking them apart and putting them back together. After a lot of trial and error and lots of reading, he became very knowledgeable about computers. It was a hobby that became a source of income for him.
After retiring from the Army in 1989 he has been a Sales Manager twice, a Store Manager and a General Manager twice. Wanting a career change, he came to work for Real Green Systems in 1998 and has been here since. Bill provides tech support when he is not on the road doing installs and training. He is responsible logistics and documentation for the new handhelds (he loves gadgets). Questions about (or recommendations for) computers, printers or other hardware are usually handled by Bill. Bill also orders and tracks the products that we sell. If any of our people need anything, it’s usually Bill they go to first. He enjoys helping people which is probably the main reason he enjoys working here at Real Green Systems. He also enjoys the donuts during the staff meetings.
Terry has been with Real Green Systems for 6 years (since Pete was single the first time) after a long career in computer support with Chrysler Corporation. She was graduated from St. Mary’s College in Michigan with a degree in Computer Science. She is a life-long resident of the state of Michigan and loves to visit other parts of the country, but Michigan will be home until she goes to the home.
She is most proud of her two children, whom she raised alone, as both are college graduates and working professionals in their fields. They, too, live in Michigan but are willing to relocate!
Current hobbies include her E-bay marketing enterprise and her recently launched Consignment Sales events in Michigan (Tracy’s Closets) where she consigns children’s items for seasonal sales. Hockey and NASCAR have had to take a back seat to these enterprises, however. Her favorite race car driver is named Dale. Of course, most of the guys driving these days are named Dale.
Luckily, Terry re-met a childhood sweetheart on the internet and they are happily spending their “golden years” together with their dog, Snowflake, and cat, Kiki,…in Michigan, of course.
Brian has been with Real Green for three years, coming to us fresh out of college. He is no longer fresh.
Brian is a graduate of the University of Michigan and has been a fan ever since watching his first Michigan Football game in 1991 (Michigan 45 and Michigan State 28). His upward mobility within Real Green has been slowed by such antagonism towards Pete’s beloved MSU Spartans.
Brian is very happily married to his loving wife, Carrie. Carrie is definitely a blessing; she is the one girl worth giving up the bachelor life for (this was written in case she views this site).
Brian is a true jock, playing basketball, tennis, and baseball. Quote: "I will never forget the first taste of victory over Joe Kucik in tennis.” This has also slowed his workplace advancement.
Iain has been with Real Green since the summer of 2004. He has worked with several EDS/GM accounts including Onstar Call Centers and Escalation teams for over four years working with Bud and several high level regional managers on either increasing automotive production or bettering dealer and customer services ratings.
Graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelors Degree in Agricultural, a minor in Alternative Energies and from Dale Carnegie Training courses. You may know Dale Carnegie from his book, “How to Win Friends and Influence People.” It has worked for Iain in that he now has a friend, and recently has been given the opportunity to influence a person (his son).
Iain currently works with us as a Support Specialist on Customer Service, Handhelds and Help Files issues.
At last count, Iain has one wife (Tina) and one son (Lucas Alexander - born during the population explosion at Real Green in the summer of 2005).
In his spare time Iain loves playing with his son, juggling his crystal styx, gaming, and traveling (which he get’s plenty of).
Christopher Charles Robert Snyder (AKA ChrisChazBob (only by his mother - much to his dislike))
Chris, who holds the distinction of having more middle names than anybody else at Real Green, was born five days before Christmas on a cold winter morning in 1979. He struggled through his first four years under the watchful eyes of his two older siblings then progressed rapidly through the educational system at an astounding one grade per school year.
His daughter, Chassidy Kaye Snyder, was born on August 6th, 1999. She is the proud owner of the largest brown eyes in human history. She gets her beauty from her mother.
He has worked in the Telecommunications/IT industry since he was about 16 years old.
“Some crazy guy asked me if I wanted a job here at Real Green System’s and I have been here ever since, I love it THAT much”
